UFC Newcomers Buddy Roberts & Caia Magalhaes To Tangle At UFC on FX 3

A middleweight bout between UFC newcomers Buddy Roberts (11-2) and Brazilian Caio Magalhaes (5-0) appears all but set for the recently announced UFC on FX 3 show this June. MMAjunkie.com confirmed the bout Tuesday night with sources close to the fight.
UFC on FX 3 is expected to take place on June 8, 2012 with fans picking the city as part of the Harley-Davidson Hometown Throwdown contest. Fans are asked to cast their vote in choosing a city to host the event.
Both fighters had previous Octagon debuts pulled out from under them with Roberts UFC on FUEL TV 1 bout scrapped after opponent Sean Loefller injured his ankle on fight night, and Magalhaes pulling out of UFC 142 due to injury.
Roberts has won five straight and is 9-1 in his last ten matches. The Jackson’s MMA product last saw action in July of last year, earning a decision at a Jackson’s MMA Series 5 show. Roberts is a former light heavyweight with four wins via (T)KO, five by submission and two by decision.
Magalhaes is undefeated in his pro-career, having only competed in his native Brazil until now. He too has competed at light heavyweight before dropping down to 185-lbs. Magalhaes has earned one victory by TKO, two by submission, and two by decision since he turned pro in August 2009.
