World Extreme Cagefighting co-founder Reed Harris started the WEC as a small regional promotion in Northern California. Over the years, he grew that promotion to national acclaim, and then steered it on to be a sibling of the Ultimate Fighting Championship under the Zuffa umbrella.
Following WEC 53, the final event of his promotion, Harris sat down with MMAWeekly.com’s Scott Petersen to talk a little bit about the promotion he helped build, it’s merger into the UFC, and his future with the company.
