Aaron Simpson vs. Mario Miranda At UFC Fight Night in Seattle

A middleweight bout has been added to the upcoming UFC Fight Night 24 show in Seattle as Aaron Simpson is slated to face Mario Miranda on the March 26 fight card.

The fight was confirmed to MMA Warlike by sources close to the match-up, with bout agreements issued for the middleweight contest.

Aaron Simpson (7-2) gets back in action after suffering the first two losses of his career in back-to-back fights against Chris Leben and Mark Munoz.

Simpson battled a close friend in Munoz back in November. He will try to erase the memory of those two fights and get back to the form that saw him win his first seven bouts in a row to start his career.

The Arizona based fighter just recently opened a new gym, Power MMA & Fitness, with longtime friends and training partners Ryan Bader and C.B. Dollaway, along with Miami Heat guard Mike Miller.

Facing Simpson in Seattle will be Brazilian Mario Miranda (10-2), coming off a loss of his own to Demian Maia at UFC 118. While he hails from Brazil, Miranda actually trains in the Washington area under famed coach Matt Hume and his AMC team.

Miranda has gone 1-2 in the UFC thus far in his career, and will likely need to get a win to secure his future with the promotion.

UFC Fight Night 24 takes place in Seattle with former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz facing Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the main event.
