More news comes from the Ultimate Fighting Championship as a welterweight bout between veteran Chris ‘Lights Out’ Lytle (27-17-5) and Korean Judo practitioner Dong Hyun Kim (12-0-1) has been added to the UFC 110 fight card in Sydney, Australia for February 21, 2010.
Ariel Helwani for MMAFanhouse.com received word on the bout which will be apart of the event’s undercard.
Chris Lytle who has been putting on great fights since coming out of season 4 on The Ultimate Fighter has been in lots of wars with the likes of Paul Taylor, Marcus Davis and recently Kevin Burns winning “Fight of the Night” honors in each and every one of those fights and was looking to put on another exciting fight with former WEC welterweight champion Carlos Condit back at UFC Fight Night 19 this past September, but was put on the shelf with a torn ACL of the knee which put him out for the rest of the 2009 campaign.
Meanwhile Dong Hyun Kim has been undefeated in four fights in the UFC going 3-0 with 1 no-contest and was originally scheduled to face Dan Hardy at UFC 105 earlier this month, but had to withdraw due to an injury and leading to Mike Swick to take his spot on the card. Kim picked up a decision victory over T.J. Grant in his last fight at UFC 100 this past July.
UFC 110 will feature the middleweight debut of former PRIDE champion Wanderlei Silva as he takes on Yoshihiro Akiyama in the main event with Mirko Cro Cop facing Ben Rothwell in the potential co-main event as well.
