UFC 140: Mr "Tighty Panties" Dennis Hallman vs. John Makdessi In The Works For Toronto Show

Verbal agreements are set for a lightweight match between veteran Dennis ‘Superman’ Hallman (43-14-12, 1NC) and undefeated Canadian John ‘The Bull’ Makdessi (9-0) for December’s UFC 140 event in Toronto. Hallman will make his lightweight debut at the event.
News of the bout first surfaced at MMADieHards.com who confirmed the news on Thursday.
UFC 140 is scheduled to take place on December 10 at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Hallman, who you may remember came out in for his UFC 133 bout with Brian Ebersole in purple speedo’s, is 2-2 in his recent stint wih the UFC. ‘Superman’ was stopped by Ebersole in the first round by TKO in their Philadelphia meeting. That loss put an end to his two fight win streak which included victories over Karo Parisyan at UFC 123 and Ben Saunders at UFC 117. This match marks his return to lightweight having battled Jens Pulver to a decision loss at UFC 33 for the 155 lb title.
Makdessi’s next fight was supposed to have been with Paul Taylor last month at UFC on Versus 5, but an injury forced the Canadian off the card. So far ‘The Bull’ has kept his professional record unblemished earning a memorable knockout last April by stopping Kyle Watson with a spinning back fist at UFC 129. Makdessi debuted with the promotion last December at UFC 124 against Pat Audinwood.
