UFC 140 Heads To Air Canada Centre In Toronto On December 10

air-canada-centreAfter hosting the largest crowd for a North American mixed martial arts event with UFC 129 last April, the Canadian city of Toronto will host it’s second ever event on December 10 with UFC 140.
This time though, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is looking at a smaller venue, the Air Canada Centre, which has the approximate capacity to hold 20,000 fans.
News was first announced by ESPN.com Tuesday night who learned of the event from co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta.
No bouts were announced for the third Canadian show of 2011, but fans can expect a “Canuck” heavy influence on the card.
The UFC’s first visit to Ontario came on April 30 with UFC 129 at the Rogers Centre, the promotions first ever stadium show. The event shattered attendance records with 55,724 fans in attendance to watch UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre defend his title.
