UFC on Fox: Shogun vs. Vera is set to take place on August 4, 2012 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The event has light heavyweight matches featured in both the main event and co-main event bouts, with the strong possibility that one of the two victors will emerge as the next 205-lbs contender. Former title holder Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua faces Brandon ‘The Truth’ Vera in the main event, while another former champ, Lyoto ‘The Dragon’ Machida, takes on Ryan ‘Darth’ Bader in the co-main event.
The main card will be shown on FOX television beginning at 8pm EST (5pm PST) with the prelim card airing on FUEL TV.
