Fedor vs. Henderson Official: Legends set to collide July 30 in Chicago



NEW YORK (May 28, 2011) – World championship Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promotions

STRIKEFORCE and M-1 GLOBAL, in association with premium television network SHOWTIME officially announce the signing of a bout agreement between legends Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko (31-3, 1 NC), and Dan Henderson (27-8).

The heavyweight contest takes place July 30, 2011 at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL and will be available on the premium cable network SHOWTIME. Emelianenko enters this bout regarded as the No. 1 heavyweight in the history of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) with an amazing professional record of (31-3, 1 NC). The former RINGS and Pride Fighting Championships heavyweight champion amassed an amazing 28 fight unbeaten streak that lasted nearly a decade.
Former Olympian Dan Henderson is the current STRIKEFORCE Light Heavyweight Champion, a former Pride Fighting Championships Welterweight (183lbs) and Middleweight (205lbs.) champion. Henderson is the only mixed martial arts fighter in history to hold major championship belts in two weight classes and enters the contest with a professional record of (27-8).
