Winner of six of his last seven, KJ Noons returns to action on Saturday, June 18th to face off against fellow contender Jorge Masvidal on the STRIKEFORCE: Overeem vs. Werdum card at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
Noons (9-2), the last man to defeat Nick Diaz, is coming off a hard-fought five round decision loss to the STRIKEFORCE welterweight champion last October, but as he returns to the 155-pound weight class, the 28 year old striker is eager to make his mark once again in the lightweight division, where he owns wins over Yves Edwards and Jorge Gurgel.
21-6 as a pro, Jorge Masvidal owns a perfect 3-0 record in STRIKEFORCE, with victories against Matt Lee, Ryan Healy, and most recently, Billy Evangelista. Like Noons, Masvidal has some pro boxing experience, making this a bout that could turn into a memorable standup war.
