Frank Mir - "My jaws fine, but my knees sure hurt!"

During the post fight press conference there were a number of fighters missing. One being the co-main event victor, Frank Mir. Early reports had speculated that he had gone to hospital for a possible rib injury, and broken jaw. Early Sunday morning his wife tweeted saying, "His jaw isn't broken he already knew that, but they made him go cuz he was complaining about his bite." That was later confirmed by the heavyweight himself in classic Frank Mir wit Sunday morning as well saying, "My jaws fine, but my knees sure hurt!"
The news of the injury came as a surprise to many because of the fact that Frank Mir absolutely dominated his counter-part, Roy Nelson, for 3 consecutive rounds landing big knee, after big knee, followed shortly after by one take down after another. During his interview with Joe Rogan immediately following the fight, Mir had nothing but praise for his opponent, and complimented Nelsons heart, and chin for continuing to not give up even after he was clearly gassed, and beaten up. The win for Mir was his second in a row, and said later that he wants to get back to fighting for a title that was once his; and after maybe one or two more wins, you would have to think he will be right in line for his goal. All the while being within one of, if not the most, stacked divisions in the entire UFC.
Let me know what you think. Did Mir look good enough in this fight to be a true competitor in the heavyweight division? Who do you think will be his next opponent, and when? Leave your answers in the comment section below, or on facebook!
