Vinny Magalhaes Says Lesnar Story Training At Xtreme Couture Fabricated

Brock Lesnar
With word this past weekend that former UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar tore through most of the fighters at Xtreme Couture, one of the fighters mentioned in that story, World Jiu-Jitsu champion Vinny “Pezao” Magalhães (7-5, 1NC), has come out refuting it’s authenticity.
In a tale, reportedly from Bellator welterweight tournament fighter, Jay Hieron in Fighters Mag via MMAMania.com, “The Thoroughbred” claimed that Lesnar had visited the Xtreme Couture gym and had submitted several fighters on the mat including Forrest Griffin. Magalhães was also mentioned as the only fighter not to get tapped by Lesnar “The only one he didn’t tap out was Vinny [Magalhaes] but it was more of the same.”
Now Magalhães has taken to the Underground Forum board to refute the story, saying that it may not even have been Hieron who told the tale in the first place.
The only time I saw Brock in person was backstage when he was getting ready for the weigh ins for his second fight against Frank.
I’m not sure if was really Jay who said those things in that interview, but I don’t think Brock would sub Forrest, at least not 2x in the same move like it was said. Also, I haven’t seen Forrest at XC since he was getting ready for his last fight, so I was wondering when this “supposedly” happened. … I only saw the guy in person once (at a weigh ins), so there’s no true about me training with him.
The internet is a place where tall tales can easily turn into tomorrows latest news reports, hopefully this can get straightened out before anyone’s reputation is tarnished too badly.
Magalhães is busy preparing himself to meet Viktor Nemkov at the end of this month in St. Petersburg, Russia for the M-1 Global Light Heavyweight Championship title.
