Paul Daley has to win Tonight

One of the most successful Mixed Martial Artists to come out of Great Britain, Paul “Semtex” Daley”, will step tonight inside the Strikeforce cage, looking to become the first fighter representing United Kingdom to become a Champion in top-tier MMA promotion.

But it's not just about UK MMA and winning titles.

Twenty-eight year old Daley already experienced the record low of his career. The fight against Josh Koscheck at UFC 113, or to be precise - what happened after it, would be forever remembered as a defining moment in Paul Daley’s career. From fan-favorite and one of the potential challengers for Georges St. Pierre’s UFC Welterweight title, Daley became an outcast, fighting at Impact FC and Shark Fights.

Paul Daley nicknamed “Semtex” for the explosive power in his hands, but the same thing can also be said about his personality. Daley’s manager Wad Alameddine is the "closest source to the situation": "He (Paul Daley) is a difficult character at times. Paul is a challenge to work with, but I also admire him a lot for what and how he does. At the end of the day he’s a fighter and at some point he simply has to have that mindset. Paul Daley is the most talented guy UK produced in MMA, and you can’t argue with that really.”

Tonight's fight against Nick Diaz is a perfect opportunity for Paul Daley to show MMA fans around the World that he learned to control the “Semtex”. Victory over a Top 5 Welterweight in Nick Diaz will cement Paul Daley’s spot as one of the best 170’ers in the World, and will definitely bring him one step closer to (despite what Dana White says) an inventible UFC return.

Diaz vs. Daley has every potential to become an all-time MMA classic, a war between two fighters, not only by profession, but most of all – by nature. Fighters like Paul Daley and Nick Diaz always bring excitement, and truly represent the "fighting" aspect of Mixed Martial Arts. Expect fireworks, ladies and gentlemen.
