UFC Fight Night 24 sets attendance, live gate record for "Fight Night" events

SEATTLE – The UFC's first-ever trip to Seattle was the most successful UFC Fight Night event in the company's history in terms of box office success, according to promotion officials.

Saturday night's "UFC Fight Night 24: Nogueira vs. Davis" event drew a reported 14,212 attendees for a live gate of $1,182,850.

UFC Fight Night 24 took place at Seattle's KeyArena and aired on Spike TV and Facebook. The card represented the company's first-ever trip to Washington, and the successful gate likely means a return trip to the market in the not-too-distant future.

The Washington State Athletic Commission should release official figures in the coming weeks. Both the attendance and gate figures rank as the best in the near-six-year history of "Fight Night" events.

UFC officials classified the figures as a sell-out. They went on to clarify that the building was originally scaled for just 8,000 seats, but ticket demand forced the UFC to repeatedly expand the arena setup until capping out at more than 14,000 seats. The successful gate almost assuredly guarantees a return trip to the market.

UFC Fight Night 24's figures represent an average gross revenue for the UFC of $83.23 per ticket issued.
