The evening’s second title fight saw Magomed ‘The White Wolf’ Sultanakhmedov take the promotion’s vacant middleweight title (185 Lbs) with a TKO demolition of 2010 M-1 Selection Americas tournament winner, Tyson ‘The Anti-Hero’ Jeffries in co-main event action.
In other main-card action, Alexander Sarnavskiy maintains perfection with a rear naked choke submission over local fan-favorite, Beau Baker in their lightweight scrap while light heavyweight (205 lbs.) Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Vinny Magalhaes fed the undefeated Jake Doerr his first taste of defeat via TKO. Rising MMA prospects Jason Norwood won a hard-fought decision over Mojo Horne in a tough middleweight clash.
M-1 Global Director of Operations, Evgeni Kogan, was quick to praise the warrior’s win. “Figueroa seized an unprecedented victory in his first title shot headlining M-1 Challenge XXIV.
