Well challenge issued and accepted.
Chris “Lights Out” Lytle (30-18-5) responded to Hardy via BloodyElbow.com on Wednesday accepting the challenge from Hardy.
“I think it would be awesome. I know exactly how he feels. He wants to go out there and fight. Just get out there and bang. He didn’t get to do that in his last fight and I’m all about it. Let’s do it!”Shortly after Lytle’s response was posted on the web, “The Outlaw” responded by commending Lytle for his response.
“That’s exactly why I’m a fan of Mr Lytle, and thats exactly why the fans love him. He has the attitude all fighters should have, come to fight or don’t come at all. I’m sick of worrying about records and rankings, it takes the fun out of it for me. I just want fights that the fans will talk about in years to come. Old school shootouts, blood, sweat and tears, death or glory.”Lytle had a four fight win streak stopped in February at UFC 127 after meeting promotion newcomer Brian Ebersole. Ebersole, who holds just an impressive as a record as Lytle, 47-14-1 and 1NC, earned a unanimous decin in the fight.
Hardy has lost three straight and was defeated by Anthony Johnson by unanimous decsion in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 24. The other two previous losses were to Carlos Condit by knockout at UFC 120 and a decision loss to Georges St-Pierre at UFC 111.
