UFC Fight Night 24 set for Seattle's Key Arena on March 26

The UFC has set a venue for its third trip to the Pacific Northwest.

A representative from the Washington Department of Licensing's Professional Athletics department today told us that the promotion has officially requested and been granted an event permit for March 26 at the 17,000-seat Key Arena in Seattle.

That event, UFC Fight Night 24, is expected to feature a light heavyweight headliner between former champion Tito Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.

It's a win-or-go-home bout for Ortiz, who appears on a Spike TV card for just the second time in his career.

The promotion hasn't formally announced the event, which MMAjunkie.com first reported earlier this month.

While the Key Arena holds in excess of 17,000 fans, it's unknown whether the UFC will utilize the venue's full capacity or modify its seating configuration for the upcoming show.

Formerly the Seattle Center Coliseum, Key Arena once played host to the NBA's Seattle Supersonics and now hosts a variety of athletic events and concerts.

UFC Fight Night 24 also is likely to feature a co-main-event draw between one-time welterweight challenger Dan Hardy and Anthony Johnson, who returns after a particularly long layoff due to a knee injury.

The latest card includes:
  • Antonio Rogerio Nogueira vs. Tito Ortiz*
  • Dan Hardy vs. Anthony Johnson*
  • Sean McCorkle vs. Christian Morecraft*
  • Duane "Bang" Ludwig vs. Amir Sadollah*
  • Alex Caceres vs. Mackens Semerzier*
* - Not officially announced
