Former UFC Fighter Lee Murray Has Sentence Increased To 25 Years Behind Bars

Lee MurrayFormer UFC fighter Lee Murray, considered the mastermind behind one of the biggest bank heists in history, had his sentence increased from 10 to 25 years by a Moroccan court on Tuesday.
Murray, who has Moroccan nationality, fled to the country in 2006 after he and several associates broke into a Securitas cash deposit in Tonbridge, Kent. They escaped with a total of £53m ($92.5m US).
Since then a total of five men have been convicted of kidnapping, robbery and firearms charges.
Murray was arrested in Morocco four months after the robbery on unrelated charges. The Moroccan government has refused to extradite him back to Britain to face justice there but instead tried him under their own laws.
Murray’s sentence was increased after an appeal by Kent Police.
