WEC 53: Henderson vs. Pettis is the last World Extreme Cagefighting event before the promotion officially merges with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. WEC 53 will take place on December 16th at the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale, Arizona.
The event features two title bouts for the WEC lightweight and Bantamweight titles. The main card will be broadcast Live on Versus on Thursday, Dec. 16th at 9PM ET/ 6PM PT.
WEC lightweight champ Ben Henderson takes on Antohny Pettis in the main event, with the winner moving into a #1 contender position for the UFC title. While WEC bantamweight title holder Dominick Cruz defends his title for the second time against Scott Jorgensen in the com-main event.
